SOILaaS

Web demonstrator for relating soil moisture and reference rainfall using XMS-Cat and XEMA data.

Research / development

React/Vite frontend, Fastify API and OpenLayers/OSM map. It integrates XMS-Cat and XEMA and applies deterministic rain-response analysis while keeping sources, distances and methodological limits visible.

SOILaaS field console with map, field view and soil-monitoring data.
01

Field Console

OpenLayers/OSM map, field selector, layers and contextual inspector for reference-source work.

02

XMS-Cat

CSV adapter with timestamp normalization and soil moisture/temperature variables.

03

XEMA

Nearest operational station discovery and precipitation aligned to the XMS-Cat time range.

04

Rain response

Deterministic event grouping and depth response, with time-to-peak only when an increase is observed.

05

Traceability

Sources, ranges, distances and spatial limits are visible; Espolla is not presented as a co-located Cantallops sensor.

06

Architecture

npm monorepo with React/TypeScript web, Fastify/TypeScript API and a shared package for data contracts.

Method limits

Method limits

  • Demo geometry/sensors may be provisional or synthetic.
  • XMS-Cat and XEMA are not co-located instruments.
  • Weak response is not turned into a causal soil diagnosis.
01

Load

Import or query the reference source.

02

Align

Relate moisture and precipitation over the same interval.

03

Analyse

Apply the deterministic event/response rule.

04

Interpret

Show the evidence and limits. Do not treat correlation as a diagnosis.

Distribution

Research demonstrator

No operational public service is announced. Demo geometry and sensors remain identified as provisional or synthetic.
